Here I provide an introduction to my Narrative Project and links to the relevant blog posts that served as part of my writing process.
This Narrative Project is about a life-choice that someone close to me, or myself, have made that had a negative impact on my personal life. At first I had no idea what I would write about, but then I chose the most important past scene of my life. I first decided to write about this particular scene in my blog post Composing a Past Scene. At first I wasn't sure how to start the writing, but once I started writing I couldn't stop. When I first wrote that blog post, I didn't have much symbolism or description to set a scene. I decided to transform that blog post into my Narrative Project. This Narrative Project will be about a dark time in my past where I had to suffer from child abuse. After I wrote my first draft, I wrote a second draft with this one being in third person and present tense. Another twist was that the second draft had an alternate ending. It was more difficult for me to write a memory with an ending that wasn't true. I discuss more about that with my vlog I had posted titled Narrative Project Rewrite: Exploring Counterfactuals
